The Kennedy Rocker

The Kennedy Rocker was designed, at the suggestion of President John F. Kennedy's physician, Janet Travell, M.D., by White House carpenter Larry Arata.

There were four rockers built - two owned by the Kennedy family, one given to Congressman Laird and one given to Congressman Fogarty of Rhode Island.

Doctor Travell gave advice to the Fogarty-Laird Health, Education and Welfare Appropriations Committee.
