Infectious Disease Research Laboratory

New infectious diseases and old diseases with increased strength and drug resistance emerge each year, threatening public health worldwide. These diseases are known as emerging infectious diseases (EIDs). Some EIDs are transmitted in nature from animals to humans. In this laboratory, researchers apply cutting-edge technology to recognize and characterize new causes of disease of both human and veterinary importance.
